Storm grey: Perfect for our cabin paradise
The colour Storm Grey was launched in 2024 and came from the desire to capture the darkness of the storm clouds, the green of the moss, the grey of the mountains and the brown of the soil - all in one colour.
- I couldn't agree more. Storm grey really is a colour that changes with the light, the weather and nature," says Tina. She runs the Instagram account @interiorwife, and here she has shared the entire process from choosing the cladding to the finished result.
She recently renovated her family's over 40-year-old cabin and chose to use Royal impregnated cladding from Marnar Bruk. Read more about how the cabin became like new, here.
Storm grey for the mountains, by the sea and in the city
- What has struck me is how well this colour also suits more urban areas. It's not just the cabin in the mountains that suits this cladding and colour. It could just as easily have been used on a seaside cabin or a functional home in the city.
Similar to the our 6 other colours Storm Grey also goes well with the other colours. "At Marnar Bruk, we want people to be able to combine different colours to give more play to the facade. The colours look good on their own, but can be combined with each other to create good contrasts and support the architecture. This is what Tina chose to do at her cabin. She has combined Storm Grey with Weather Grey.
- "The combination of Storm Grey on the cladding with Weather Grey on the terrace and railings, which will naturally turn grey over time, as well as black on windows and doors and other details, is already proving to be a great success," says Tina.
