How to clean and maintain your royal impregnated terrace

Deck washing - a simple but important routine
When should you wash your patio?
The patio should be washed at least once a year - preferably in the spring - to remove dirt, surface mould and loose pigments.
How do I wash a royal-impregnated terrace?
- Use a garden hose with light pressure - avoid high-pressure washers as they can damage the surface.
- Avoid harsh chemicals - water is often enough.
- Use an antifungal agent if you see signs of surface mould or black mould.
- Scrub gently with a stiff-bristled brush (not a wire brush) if necessary.
When and how should the terrace be oiled?
In the first few years, there is no need for new oil for technical reasons, but cosmetic maintenance may be desirable to maintain colour and shine.
- Do you want to freshen up your colour? Apply new royal oil from Marnar Bruk with or without pigment.
- Reapply after approx. 10 years to renew the oil seal, regardless of colour.
- Use a brush, roller or sprayer - avoid overflow and ensure even application.
- Always wash before oiling.
Tips for choosing a deck colour

- RB.10 Tar brown and RG.40 Storm grey - needs cosmetic maintenance more often
